Jetsetbohemian
Jetsetbohemian is a boutique store nestled in Grey Lynn, with a treasure trove of old and new for the shopper who likes to hunt for one-off finds. Owner Kirsten Tweedie’s range features vintage garments, one-off pieces and surplus stock from niche European labels such as Stella Forest, Diabless, Zadig and Voltaire, Antik Batik and even high street brands such as Zara, Top Shop and French Connection. As well as this, Jetsetbohemian will also make a few key pieces each season including tuxedo jackets.
Jewellery from Zoe and Morgan, Tiger Frame and gorgeous costume jewellery complete the look.
Kirsten says Jetsetbohemian is like a curiosity shop, with regular customers coming in most weeks or checking in to see if they have what the customer is looking for. “They know I don’t buy big quantities, or I only have one piece, so they know they have to be quick,” she says.
She loves to bring in little-known designers and show her customers how fashion doesn’t have to be influenced by branding. “It’s about being exciting and daring,” she says.
Kirsten travels to south-east Asia a few times each year for inspiration (and relaxation) and says she came up with the idea of Jetsetbohemian as she wanted to offer clothes to women of all ages at a non-hesitating price point.
Key pieces from the gorgeous mix at Jetsetbohemian can now be viewed at Lily & Louis.
